About
Kollektor
Our family has been collecting for more than four hundred years — Italian Old Masters, works of museum interest — and yet we found ourselves navigating the same broken infrastructure as everyone else: records scattered across spreadsheets, filing cabinets, and the memories of advisors and curators. Exhibition loans, research requests, and institutional collaborations moving through slow, fragmented channels. No efficient way to connect with the museums and scholars that might want to engage with what we hold.
When we started talking to curators, we heard the same frustration from the other side. Museums are actively searching for works held in private hands, but have no reliable way to find them or open a conversation with their owners.
Kollektor is built to close that gap. It gives collectors a single, modern system to catalogue their holdings — provenance, condition, exhibition history, documentation — and a direct digital channel to the institutions that want to engage with their works. Better infrastructure behind private collections means broader institutional access to art, stronger provenance and scholarship over time, and collections that become lasting legacies rather than closed archives.
We built what we wished had existed. And we built it for every collector navigating the same problem we were.
